TAIDA Museum Provisional Office hopes to attract diverse voices during the preparation stage, we invited everyone to participate. Thus, for the future Visual Identity System (VIS) of TAIDA Museum, we held a logo design contest last year. Then invited several professional design teams to develop VIS proposals based on the first prize winner's logo design in the contest as the key elements. we then came to three proposals in March 2022.
Here are the 3 proposals voted:
Proposal 1: https://reurl.cc/Dy4Zv6
Proposal 2: https://reurl.cc/b2ylZl
Proposal 3: https://reurl.cc/WrVRaZ
Focusing on the three proposals above, we held a “VIS Design Workshop” in May, Letting the design teams introduce their ideas publicly. We invited professional reviewers for both internal and external opinions. We also invited the public to cast the votes, getting nearly one thousand responses.
The first prize for the VIS design given was decided by the first-order ratio method. Scores were calculated based on opinions shared by 40%, 40%, and 20% of the 6 professional external reviewers, 32 members in NTU Museums, and the public votes. The VIS Design First Prize 🏆 was won by Proposal 1.
To follow up, TAIDA Museum Provisional Office will discuss more details such as standard words, standard colors, etc. based on the first prize-winning design, proposal 1, with the design team to develop the VIS for TAIDA Museum.
997 people joined the public voting, and the “Popularity Award” was decided by the highest number of votes.
Proposal 1: 486 votes(49%)
Proposal 2: 254 votes(25%)
Proposal 3: 257 votes(26%)
→ Proposal 1 also won the Popularity Award.
The details of the activity were documented through the appraisal documentary, and could also be seen on the FB fan page.
We also held a public voting activity for the VIS designs. There were 10 participants randomly selected by computer, who won the face mask set from TAIDA Museum Provisional Office. The winners list presented as the following link: https://reurl.cc/0pGzRb
