The Old Main Library was built in 1929 and was used as a teaching and research space starting from 1998. In 2005, here became the NTU History Gallery.

Over the years, this iconic building has stood witness to the dynamic growth trajectory of generations of people at NTU, serving as a testament to the university's illustrious past and vibrant present.

To preserve the history of NTU and establish NTU TAIDA Museum, it is necessary to fully restore the ancient tiles, walls, and interior and exterior structures of this monument.

It also needs to be transformed into a safe and friendly accessible environment.
